Aldeburgh Festival

Music
The Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts is, since 1948, an annual festival devoted mainly to classical music during the month of June. It takes place mainly at Snape Maltings Concert Hall in Snape.

The Festival, managed nowadays by the organisation Aldeburgh Music, was founded by the composer Benjamin Britten, the singer Peter Pears and the producer-libretist Eric Crozier. It includes also the visual arts as well as a number of exhibitions.

In addition to the annual Festival, Aldeburgh Music also runs the Brtitton-Pears Young Artist Programme, a programme offering training and development opportunities to UK and international artists.
