Since its foundation in 2000, the gallery's primary aim is to show new tendencies and individuals, focusing on both Dutch and international art.

The gallery participates in major international art fairs such as Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach, Frieze Art Fair and ARTBO. Furthermore, Annet Gelink Gallery has been an early promoter of international artists such as Rita Ackermann, Yael Bartana, Ryan Gander, Roger Hiorns, David Maljkovic, Anya Gallaccio, Meiro Koizumi, Erik van Lieshout, Victor Man and Wilfredo Prieto.

The gallery’s project-space, ‘The Bakery’ shows young and upcoming artists and serves as a springboard for young talent.
