Belvoir Castle is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Rutland. The Manners family have lived at Belvoir in an unbroken line for almost a thousand years. The Castle, with its stunning art collection, and gardens, are open to the public.
The Belvoir gardens are mainly mid-nineteenth century gardens, includingTerraces stepping down the hill, a rose garden and woodland gardens made by the present Duchess.
The castle is also available and used for cultural, corporate and private events, such as concerts, weddings, exhibitions, shows, filming...
The other family seat is Haddon Hall, inhabited by the present Duke's brother, Lord Edward Manners.
