Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
Bingerden Gardens date back to the 17th century, but were converted it to an 'English landscape park' in 1791 by the German landscape architect J.P. Posth (1763-1831)

it is one of the country's oldest estates, owned by the same family since 1660. The house was burned in 1945 (rebuilt on a smaller and more practical scale), but the topiary hedges ('The Monks') survived. There is a potager with flowers and vegetables.
