Concours de Genève, established since 1939, is an annual classical music competion which alternates between eight main disciplines: piano, flute, clarinet, cello, viola, string quartet, voice and percussion. Every second year, it offers a composition prize.

It was founded by Henri Gagnebin, who was at the time Director of the Geneva Conservatoire and by Frédéric Liebstoeckl, a musician from Vienna who had settled in Geneva. 

Chairmanship of the Board of the Foundation of the Geneva International Music Competition is assumed today by Christine Sayegh.
