Antiques & Art Galleries
Johnny van Haeften: Old Masters. Johnny started his career in the PR and Stamp Departments at Christie’s, where he realized his affinity with Dutch Old Masters; a nod to his ancestry perhaps.

In 1977, Johnny and his wife Sarah opened the gallery, specializing in Dutch and Flemish Old Master Paintings of the 16th and 17th centuries – the only gallery in London dealing exclusively in this field.  For nearly forty years, Johnny has been a key figure in the Art World.

Johnny’s former roles include:

Vice-Chairman of the Society of the London Art Dealers (SLAD)

Council Member of the British Antique Dealers’ Association (BADA)

Member of the Grosvenor House Art and Antiques Fair Executive Committee

Member of the Reviewing Committee on Export of Works of Art

One of the Founders of the European Fine Art Fair in Maastricht (TEFAF) and member of the Executive Committee

Trustee of the Dulwich Picture Gallery

Trustee of the Dutch Masters Association

Current roles include:

Trustee of the Fine Arts Provident Institution
Frieze Masters Selection Committee
