Crafts & Restorations, Monuments & Sites, Museums & Art Centres
The Mentzendorff’s House, a branch of the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigationa, is a 17th-century building in Riga’s Old Town, which houses a museum that tells about the life of a wealthy resident of Riga, as well as the culture and traditions of the city in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The collection comprises over 2,000 items.

The museum has been named after the coffee merchant family of the Mentzendorffs, which lived in the house at the beginning of the 20th century. Its descendants still regularly give their support to various activities of the museum.

You can also enjoy a modern glass workshop, following in the footsteps of Jurgen Helm, who had a glass workshop here in the 17th century.
