The Academy of Arts (Akademie der Künste), has two locations in Berlin, whereas in particular the building on Hanseatenweg offers a multitude of possibilities such as an exhibition place, offers concerts, lectures, readings, films, theatre and dance.
It also is home to a number of artist ateliers and apartments.
The Academy was established in 1696, elector Friedrich III, base on the examples in Paris and Rome.
