Academy of Fine Arts, Picture Gallery

Museums & Art Centres
The Academy of Fine Arts, Picture Gallery (Gemäldegalerie der Akademie der bildenden Künste) houses the important collection of the public art school of higher education, including master works of Dutch and Flemish painters from the 17th century, such as works from Rubens and "The Last Judgement" of Hieronymus Bosch.

The basis of the collection stems from the important donation of 800 works in 1822 from the diplomat Count Lamberg-Sprinzenstein to the Academy.

The Academy has an important library (c.110.000 volumes) including its 'Kupferstichkabinett' ('Etching Cabinet') with around 150.000 prints and drawings.
