Amber Gallery-Museum

Museums & Art Centres
The Amber Gallery-Museum in Nida, located in a charming fisherman's house, is dedicated to amber (Bernstein). It features beautiful large raw amber, amber with inclusions (insects, spiders and plants), as well as a number of amber artefacts from the Neolithic Age (3000 BC).

These objects were found in the middle of the 19th century by Richard Klebs, the so called famous "Judokranté treasure".

Our stone-age ancestors carved small figures out of amber. Wooden replicas of these figures stand life-size in front of the museum.

In addition, you can buy jewelry and art works of amber. All items have certificates, guaranteeing that the product is made of natural Baltic amber.
