Château d'Anjony has always been a home of the family with the same name, which is very exceptional. The d'Anjony family has opened the castle for the public already for 70 years. The family's and castle's origins are closely linked to France's history of Joan of Arc.
It was built in the 15th century by one of Joan of Arc's companions, Louis d'Anjony. In the 18th century an additional wing was added. This was more conform to the standards and taste of these days. The inside of the castle is elegantly furnished and richly decorated with frescoes from the 16th century.
