Ardkinglas Estate (4,900 ha/12,000 acres), with the castle as its centre, is still a much-loved home of the Noble family. The House is open under certain conditions and the woodland gardens are open all year round.
Ardkinglas is also used for cultural or private events, such as weddings, and offers Holiday Accommodations.
The Noble family acquired the estate in 1905, and Sir John Noble began the Rhododendron collection in the 1920's. Lord and Lady Glenkinglas continued to garden at Ardkinglas until the mid 1980s.
