Avington Park, dates the 10th century and is presently in trust of the family of Lt. Col. and Mrs. Hickson, who acquired the estate in 1951. Part of the House and park are open to the public by guided tour from May until September.
One of its historical owners was the Duke of Buckingham and Stowe, who became the Duke of Buckingham and Chandos, and played host to King George IV and Mrs Fitzherbert.
Avington Park is also a venue for film & photo shooting, cultural, corporate and private events, such as concerts, receptions, weddings...
