Badminton House became in the hands of the Somerset family in 1612, and is the seat of the Dukes of Beaufort up to the present day. The Dukedom was created by Charles II in 1682. The House is surrounded by a magnificent park and private grounds.

The Estate at Badminton contains the remains of several Roman Villas. 

Private tours of Badminton House can be offered to groups of between 15 and 30 people, offering an opportunity to view the principal ground floor rooms of the House, together with the gardens, the Orangery and the Church. Specialist garden tours can be offered to show the beautiful private grounds around Badminton House. In addition, each year there is an Open Day for the gardens.

Badminton Park has given its name to the Badminton Horse Trials, started in 1949, which are held every year in Badminton Park in May.
