Baroque Garden Grosssedlitz

Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks, Music
Baroque Garden Grosssedlitz is a 18 ha Baroque Garden with the largest collection of bitter orange trees in the German-speaking countries and equally famous for its yearly Garden Festival.

It was commissioned in 1719 by August Christoph Count von Wackerbarth, but was bought in 1723 by Augustus the Strong from his former Adjutant General of the Saxon Army.

Since 1992, the Baroque Garden became the property of the Free State of Saxony, which started an important programme for repair and reconstruction as in times of the famous king.

Grosssedlitz is also a venue for corporate and private events, such as receptions, meetings, weddings...
