The Bathurst Estate & Cirencester Park

Cirencester Park, part of the Bathurst Estate and surrounding the Cirencester Park manor, is a 1,215 ha (3,000 acres) woodland and pasture park, which open and free of charge for visitors on foot and on horseback by kind permission of the 9th Earl and Countess Bathurst, as well as the trustees of The Earl’s Fund.

The park was mainly created by Allen Bathurst, the 1st Earl Bathurst  (1684–1775), in collaboration with his good friend Alexander Pope. It houses the tallest yew hedge in Britain.

Bathurst is the seat of the Bathurst family, Earls Bathurst.
