The Berlin Musical Instrument Museum, founded in 1888, contains one of the largest and complete musical instrument collections in German with over 3500 instruments. The collection includes highly interesting historical instruments such as flutes from King Frederic the Great.
Today, the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) is part of the State Institute for Music Research (SIM) and both are located in a Wisniewski-designed building at the Kemper Platz.
The museum holds regularly concerts.
