Blenheim Palace, was built between 1705 and circa 1722 for John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough. Ever since it has been the home of the Dukes of Marlborough. Blenheim is also notable as the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
The monumental palace, with its important art collection and surrounded by extensive gardens, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
Today it is not only a family home, but a major tourist venue with a multitude of attractions and events, such as concerts, exhibitions, different festivals, flower shows, open air events, Conservation & Restoration Tours, Classic and Supercar show, weddings and other sporting and cultural events.
