Botanical Garden Bonn (6.5 ha) is located on grounds of the former Poppelsdorf Palace, since 1818 the University of Bonn. The estate belonged to the Archbishops of Cologne.
The garden houses over 8000 plant species and includes also 0.5 hectares of greenhouses, containing over 3000 species.
