The Château de Merville is a beautiful and elegant 18th century construction, still privately inhabited. It is surrounded by a 30 ha park and gardens, which are open to the public. It is famous for its labyrinth, extending over 4 ha.
Château de Merville dates back to the 16th century, but was Marquis Henri-Auguste de Chalvet-Rochemonteix, grand seneschal of Toulouse and Albigeois, who built the present chateau in 1743-1758.
In the 19th century the estate passes by inheritance to the Marquis de Beaumont du Repaire from which the current owners descend.
Château de Merville is also a venue for corporate and private events, such as weddings, receptions...
