Castle Colditz is a Renaissance castle and is famous for being a prisoner-of-war camp during World War II for "incorrigible" Allied officers who had repeatedly escaped from other camps. The castle houses a museum and offers guided tours showing some of the escape tunnels built by prisoners of war.
It is also used for concerts, corporate and private events.
