Castle Herberstein's oldest parts are dating back to the 12th century. The estate is still in the hands of the Herberstein family and serves as their residence. The castle, the gardens and the Gironcoli Museum are open to the public.
The Gironcoli Museum is dedicated to the work of the Austrian artist Bruno Gironcoli (1936-2010).
