Castle Krobnitz houses a museum with a permanent exhibition about the life of Count Albrecht von Roon. He was the famous Prussian Minister of War during the Bismarck area, which permitted the Unification of Germany.

The history of Castle Krobnitz dates back to 1315 and has been in the hands if different noble families such as von Nostitz and von Üchtritz. In 1873 it was bought by Count von Roon which had it rebuilt in Neoclassical style with an additional floor. He also reshaped and enlarged the park and the estate, including a small family burial crypt.

After the expropriation in 1945 by the communists the family left the castle, which suffered heavily from neglect thereafter.  In 2000, it was bought by the local municipality which renovated it and uses the estate for cultural events such as concerts (chamber music) and expositions.

Krobnitz is also a venue for corporate and private events, such as weddings, max. 60 people.
