Castle Oelber dates back to 1226. It was the von Cramm family who has been the most predominant and prominent owners of the castle. Presently It serves as a cultural and event location.
The initiative of transforming the castle into a centre for cultural and private events (Oelber Event), came from baroness Helena von Cramm und Anna von Veltheim.
Concerning classical music, the highlights are the yearly SommerProms and the SchlossAkkord-Aufführung.
Oelber is a venue for corporate and private events, such as receptions, weddings...
