Belvedere Castle dates was built in 1724-1732 for the Duke Ernst August of Sachsen-Weimar and Eisenach as a summer residence, surrounded by a 43 ha park. Since 1923 it is a museum for arts of the 18th century.
The collection includes furniture, paintings, porcelains and faience.
The park houses a Orangery with a collections of carriages.
