Castle Zwernitz dates back to the Roman Empire and came into the possession of the Hohenzollern family. Today it is a museum showing the history of Zwernitz Castle, its inhabitants, and the Sanspareil rock gardens.
From the keep there is a magnificent panoramic view of the Franconian Switzerland Natural Park.
