Château de Plessis-Bourré was built from 1468 to 1472 for Jean Bourré, Finance Minister to King Louis XI. In 1956 it came into the hands of François Reille-Soult, Duke of Dalmatia, whose descendants inhabit the castle today.
The Château du Plessis-Bourré is used for corporate and private events and has been the location for numerous films.
