The Charterhouse

The Charterhouse's history dates back to 1348 and has served as a monastery, private mansion, boys school and an almshouse, which it is still today. Since 2017 it houses also a museum.
The collections contain a wide range of historical objects amassed over 660 years of history, whereas we also work closely with other repositories including Islington Museum, London Metropolitan Archives, Museum of London, and Charterhouse School.
The Charterhouse is also a venue for corporate and private events, such as receptions, dinner parties...
