Museums & Art Centres
The Contemporary Art Centre - CAC, established in 1992, holds 10 - 15 exhibitions annually, as well as events and projects in the fields of performance, theory, literature, film and video art. Every three years, the CAC organises the Baltic Triennial, and has repeatedly organised the Lithuanian Pavilion at the Venice Biennial of Art.

At the upper floor of the CAC houses, on a permanent basis, part of Gilbert and Lila Silverman’s famous collection, dedicated to the Fluxus art movement. The latter was an international, interdisciplinary art movement in the 1960s and 1970s, focusing on political, nonsensical and anti-art ideas.
