Croome Court, Garden & Park
After the deaths of Brown and Adam, the remaining work was taken over by James Wyatt.
Today the property is owned by the Croome Heritage Trust. It is leased to the National Trust, which owns also the surrounding parkland.
After the WW II, the family moved in 1948 to a much smaller residence, Earl's Croome Court. The main part of the collection of the house was sold. Only one-fifth was retained and moved also to the new family home. This collection returned to Croome Court in 2017.
In the house, artists and craftspeople are telling the story of its eclectic past
Today, the Lancelot Brown parkland is still full with temples, follies and statues. The orchard contains several hundreds of fruit trees, planted by staff and volunteers.
The Walled Garden is today privately owned and has been restored. It can be visited too.
