Drum Castle has been the seat of the Irvine family from 1323 until 1975, when it was taken over by the National Trust for Scotland. It is one of the oldest tower houses in Scotland. A large wing was added in 1619, and additional changes were made in the 19th century. 

It has a beautiful walled garden, renowned for its roses.

The house contains a library with over 4,000 books.

Drum Castle is a venue for TV, Film & Photo shooting, corporate and private events, such as, receptions, private parties, weddings...
