The English Garden, Munich (370 ha/910 acres) is one of the largest public parks in the world. It is an English landscape park, created in 1789 for Charles Theodore of Bavaria, by Sir Benjamin Thompson.
It was later extended by his successors Reinhard von Werneck and Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell.
