Fyvie Castle, dating back to the 12th century, is since 1984 in the hands of the National Trust for Scotland. It contains opulent Edwardian interiors with antiquities, armour and lavish oil paintings, including one of the largest private collections of Raeburns in the world.
The "haunted" castle reflects the life and history of its former inhabitants, the Preston, Meldrum, Seton, Gordon and Forbes-Leith families.
The grounds include a 18th-century walled garden, which has been redeveloped as a garden of Scottish fruits and vegetables.
The castle is also used for cultural, corporate and private events such as concerts, weddings...
