Göttingen International Handel Festival

Göttingen International Handel Festival is, since 1919, an annual festival of baroque music in Göttingen. It is mainly dedicated to the work of George Frederic Handel.
The festival has its own orchestra, the Festspiel Orchestra Göttingen, since 2006.
In the framework of the European cooperation project 'eeemerging', several rising ensembles will perform at the Festival and will attend several workshops.
The festival has also redesigned the Göttingen Händel Competition for up-and-coming ensembles.
