Galerie Albrecht
Susanne Albrecht started the gallery in Munich in 1986 with contemporary American art: Peter Halley, Jonathan Borofsky, Haim Steinbach, Dennis Oppenheim a.o., followed by shows with Francesco Clemente (1989), Julian Opie (1990/92), Günter Umberg (1987), Tom Wood (1999/2011) and Martin Parr (2002), Robert Lebeck (2009), Cristof Yvoré (2010). In 1993 she curated a show of video work by Jonathan Borofsky, Rebecca Horn and Dennis Oppenheim in a Munich bunker from World War II. She participated and participates at art fairs, at Art Basel, Art Cologne, Art Chicago, Kunst Zürich, Art Karlsruhe. In 2009 she moved to Berlin. Uncompromising love of art and great respect for artists have been the gallery’s guiding principles from the start – they keep it alive to this day.
