The castle is occasionally open to the public and pre-booked Group Visits can be arranged.

The Walled Garden at Glenarm Castle, is one of Ireland's oldest walled gardens and was opened to the public in 2005. Its restoration has continued under the stewardship of Nigel Marshall, formerly Head Gardener at Mount Steward.  There are herbaceous borders, a rose border, mound and water features.
