Gorhambury House

Gorhambury House, constructed in the years 1777-84 by Sir Robert Taylor (architect of The Bank of England), is the home of Viscount and Viscountess Grimston. The house contains a collection which is both historic and academic.

The house will be open on specific days during Spring and Summer.

Next to the House in neo-Palladian style, the visitors to the estate admire the Roman Theatre, the remains Old Gorhambury House including theOld Gorhambury Water Gardens and enjoy the Gorhambury Drive. Old Gorhambury House (managed by English Heritage) are the remains of a once immense mansion constructed in 1563-8 by the Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, Sir Nicholas Bacon.
