Highclere Castle, dating back to the 8th century, it is the seat of the Earls of Carnarvon since 1679. It became world famous by the series 'Downton Abbey'. The castle, with its beautiful collections, and gardens are open to the public.
The Castle is surrounded by beautiful gardens and 400 ha (1,000 acres) of parkland, designed by the famous 18th century landscape gardener Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.
Highclere is hosting many events, such as concerts, and available for corporate and private entertaining, such as board meetings and weddings.
