Howick Hall was since 1319 the ancestral seat of the Grey family until the death of the 5th Earl Grey in 1963. It is now in the hands of his grandson, the present Lord Howick of Glendale. Only the gardens can be visited.
Howick Hall has been the home of the Prime Minister Charles, 2nd earl Grey (famous tea)
The grand eighteenth century house is surrounded by terrace and woodland gardens.
