Monuments & Sites, Museums & Art Centres
The Hunt Museum, located in a former custom house, features the collection which was brought together by the antique dealers and collectors John and Gertrude Hunt, a collection of Art and Antiquities from the Neolithic period to the 20th century, including works by Picasso, Renoir and Gaugin.
In addition, the Hunt Museum holds two more recent collections: Sybil Connolly (fashion) and Irish Contemporary Ceramics.
The Museum displays its own collections, as well as visiting exhibitions of Local, National and International significance.
The Customs House is an elegant Palladian-style building designed by the Italian architect, Davis Ducart, in 1765.
