International Uuno Klami Composition Competition

The International Uuno Klami Composition Competition, established in 2004 and named after the Finnish composer Uuno Klami, is a composition competition for composers from a limited number of countries.

These countries are the Nordic countries, the EU, Albania, Andorra, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Moldavia, Montenegro, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine and the Vatican State. 

It is held every five years and there is no age limit. Apart from honouring the work of Uuno Klami the Competition's mission is to produce new repertoire for sinfonietta-sized orchestras.
