Inveraray Castle

Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks, Music, Private Collections
Inveraray Castle dates from the 18th century and has been the seat of the Dukes of Argyll, chiefs of the Clan Campell, up to the present day. The present Duke and Duchess warmly welcome the public, offering a multitude of attractions.

The public can visit the castle (with its beautiful furniture, paintings and artefacts) the grounds and gardens including walking routes, deer stalking, shooting and enjoying the tearoom or gift shop. Furthermore the castle is used for a variety of cultural and private events. Other activities on the over 24,000 ha (60,000 acres) estate include commercial forestry, tenanted farming, wind and hydro power.

Recommendation from TRIPENDY: Watch the video on Inveraray's website: https://www.inveraray-castle.com/explore/the-castle/history

It is showing the day to day professional life of a hard working aristocratic family who, with an eye on our best traditional values, is giving a living example how to preserve, develop, enjoy and transfer our immensely rich European culture with entrepreneurial skills, modernity and enthusiasm.
