Kelburn Castle is thought to be the oldest castle in Scotland to have been continuously inhabited by the same family, the Earls of Glasgow. The grounds and gardens are open to the public. The castle can only be visited by guided tours during specific times throughout the year.

Kalburn has become famous for its Graffiti Project and also for its music festivals, featuring a wide range of styles. In addition the castle is available for corporate and private events, such as weddings.`

There is a glen with waterfalls, an old sundial and an ice house. The walled garden has two 1,000 year old yew trees.
