Kronborg Castle

Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Museums & Art Centres
Kronborg Castle dates back to the 1420s and is one of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe. Today a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is open to the public and used for many cultural events.

Strategically of high importance, the castle was one of the most unique and strongest fortresses in Europe. In 1785 the castle ceased to be a royal residence and came under military administration until 1923 when it was renovated and opened to the public. Noteworthy are the Ballroom, Little Hall, the Chapel and the Royal Apartments.

Kronborg has become immortalised in Shakespeare's Hamlet as 'Elsinore' (Helsingør).

Kronborg is not only used by the Royal family for festive events, also companies and private individuals can rent the castle for their events, such as concerts, dinners, receptions, weddings...
