La Bambouseraie en Cévennes has an extensive collection of plants, and contains the world's largest bamboo nursery. It was created by the spice millionaire Eugène Mazel in 1855 and taken over by the Nègre family in 1902.
It is also a venue for cultural events, such as concerts.
