Larmer Tree Gardens was created by General Larmer Pitt Rivers in 1880 to be opened for the public. The 4.5 ha (11 acres) garden is housing a collection of ornate constructions, such as the Roman Temple and the Singing Theatre.
It has majestic trees, lawns, hidden walkways...
After the death of the General in 1900 the garden was only open for special events. However is great-grandson, Michael Pitt Rivers restored the garden and reopened it to the public again in 1995.
Larmer Tree Gardens is also a venue for corporate and private events such as receptions, weddings...
