Le Château de Sully

Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks, Private Collections
Le château de Sully has a long history and the site dates back to the Roman Empire. Today the estate including castle, gardens and wine-estate are privately owned, but open to the public. The castle itself can be visited by guided tours.

The winery was extensively developed by Philippe, 9th Marquis de Mac Mahon and 4th Duc de Magenta. He acquired also the nearby Abbey de Morgeot. His lifework, acquiring and promoting the premier cru vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, is what enables the family to maintain the château today.

Since the 4th Duke's sudden death in 2002 the stately home, estate and winery have been run by his widow, who lives in the Château all year round with their two children, Pélagie and Maurice.  Maurice is the 10th Marquis of Mac Mahon and 5th Duke of Magenta.

Château de Sully is also a venue for corporate and private events, such as receptions, weddings...
