Lednice Castle

Lednice Castle dates from 1222 and been in the hands if the House of Liechtenstein until its confiscation in 1945. A substantial part is open to the public.
Its representative rooms, the private Princely apartments, the Children's room & Museum of marionettes, The Grotta, The Greenhouse and the Minaret, can be visited by separate tours.
The present English Gothic style castle is due to the reconstructions from 1846-1858 by Prince Alois II.
The English garden includes some special items such as the artificial ruins and a solitary sixty-metre minaret.
