Gardens & Parks, Museums & Art Centres
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, opened in 1958, is a nineteenth century seaside house, transformed into a museum for the arts of painting, sculpture, graphics, architecture and landscape.

The museum It is a perfect example of 1950s Scandinavian abstract modernism, and became a work of art in its own right. The name Louise comes from the name of each of the former owner's three wives. The original landscape designers, Ole and Edith Nrgaard, were succeeded by Lea Norgaard and Vibeke Holscher.
