Mansion Hofwijck was created in 1642 for Constantyn Huygens, the famous diplomat, writer, art lover and confident of the Orange-Nassau's.

The architect was the well known Jacob van Kampen (Royal Palace Amsterdam) and the garden was shaped in the form of a human body, based on the harmony model by Vitruvius. His son was a leading scientist of that period. Today it has been completely restored and the museum is dedicated to the Huygens family.

Hofwijck is also used for corporate and private events, such as weddings...
